nice video on Biz Week. Really liked the break down how people can get started now without quiting the job that pays the bills but does not fulfill any real passion. He say's do the job, leave at 5pm, and instead of watching TV or doing whatever else, spend that time building something and engaging in your area of passion.
super short video featuring David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) explaining how you need to think about charging for your product/app/service. Simple questions: Would you take out your credit card and buy it? How much would you be willing to spend to get the product?
video angle is a bit wonky, sorry about that, but its not at all painful to watch.

Found this killer video of David Heinemeier Hansson chatting with a group of us at Y Combinator's Startup School last year at Stanford University. This was well before the economy really tanked, now it's the mantra d'etat of almost all companies, but certainly wasn't at the time. DHH's main keynote at the event was brilliant and had a similar message regarding not needing to be the next youtube/facebook/google, but simply a sustainable, profitable company that does something valuable and you own. Sounds pretty good, def the path we are taking with hoodiepeople.com.
Startup School 2009 should be coming up soon, which I'm def looking forward to as it is likely the best one day conference of the year and its free.
