Jason Fried Startup School Presentation Notes
Notes I took at Jason Fried's presentation at Startup School last month at Berkeley:
bootstrapping: day 1 - make moneyfunded: spend money get used to making money. you don't need someone else to annoint you to be successful. $$ charging money forces you to be good. funding is kinda like crack, in drug world it's called addiction, VC world it's A, B, C round Software has no edges.
Be a curator of your product. Just the best, only the best. Corporate press releases are the hall of fame of poor ways to say sorry. If your sorry, say "I'm sorry" not "any inconvienance we may have caused" The best people are everywhere. You don't have to be here. Focus on the things that go right and repeat. Failure is not the Holy Grail of entreprenuership. You can get it right right now.
